What to expect when you sign up to Afterpay
If you're ready to offer Afterpay to your customers – great news. Signing up is fast, simple and all online. Here’s what the onboarding process looks like, what you’ll need to complete your application, and what happens next.
Step 1: Sign up via the Afterpay Business Hub
Sign up via the Afterpay Business Hub sign up form. The Afterpay Business Hub is your one-stop shop for managing your Afterpay account, from the start of your application and throughout our partnership.
The sign-up process includes creating an account and completing a short application where we ask for information about your business. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Your business name and ABN/NZBN
- Business owner and key contact details
- Questions about how your business operates (details about your business, its products or services, customer service contact details, etc).
Having this information handy before you start your application will help make the process smoother and faster.
Step 2: Application review, or instant approval
Once you’ve submitted your application, we’ll run a quick eligibility check:
- If you’re approved instantly: You can move straight to integration and start accepting Afterpay.
- If you need a manual review: We’ll let you know, and your application will be reviewed by our team before you move forward. A manual review may be required depending on the type of business you run, or its share structure. All the communication whilst we’re reviewing your application will be done via email, and our team will let you know if they need additional information in order to proceed with your application.
Step 3: Integration & setup
Once your application has been approved, you’ll be guided through the setup steps via your Afterpay Business Hub account. You’ll find:
- Integration instructions
- Developer documentation (if needed)
- Tips for adding the on-site/product price breakdown messaging to your site
- A setup checklist on what to do next in order to set up your business for success from day one
Will my application save if I need to gather more information before continuing?
Yes. You can log back into the Afterpay Business Hub at any time to finish. If you need help, your Afterpay rep (if you have one) or our Support team is here to guide you.
