Afterpay App Configuration Errors
Cause: If there’s an issue with your Afterpay merchant account, it could be the reason as to why Afterpay as a payment method is not appearing in checkout. For example, your Afterpay account might not be fully activated or you have selected the incorrect business account.
Solution: Ensure that your Afterpay merchant account is active and that you have selected the correct business account, see steps below:
Step 1: Within your Shopify Admin Panel, go to Settings > Payments > Afterpay (If you do not see Afterpay, then select Install.
Step 2: You will be prompted to login to the Afterpay Business Hub.
Step 3: Once you log in to your Afterpay Business Hub, select the business you would like to have Afterpay enabled.
Step 4: The screen will now return to the Shopify payment method set. Ensure Afterpay is toggled to ON and click on Activate.
Inconsistent Currency Display
Cause: A common cause for Afterpay as a payment method not appearing at checkout is because your Shopify store's base currency may differ from the corresponding Afterpay account region, which can only be set as Australia or New Zealand.
Solution: Your Shopify store’s address and currency must correspond to your store's physical losation . Please refer to the Store Address and Store Currency steps to ensure they are configured correctly.

Afterpay is available for Shopify merchants with a store address in Australia or New Zealand only.
